  • The UH-60 Blackhawk is a twin-engine turbine helicopter designed by Sikorsky to replace the UH-1 which first entered service with the U.S. Army in 1979.
  • The Blackhawk has a variety of roles, from tactical military missions to Coast Guard operations. Today, the Blackhawk is also used in the civilian world as a heavy lifting aircraft.
  • Its roles include, but are not limited to, power line and ski lift construction, as well as playing a major part in the firefighting scene. The Blackhawk was first used in a civilian capacity in Australia in 2016/2017 summer through Timberline and Pay’s Helicopter’s joint venture to provide firefighting agencies with a new and highly effective aircraft.

A leading fixed wing operator since 1959, Pay's Air Service introduced their Pay's Helicopters division of the group in the late 1980s. Pay’s Helicopters fleet began operations utilizing a Bell 47 for agricultural spraying in the 1980’s. Today, Pay's Helicopters fleet has expanded to include the Robinson 44, Bell 206, Bell 206L, AS350, UH-1/Bell 205 and Sikorsky UH-60A Blackhawk. Since 2011 we have serviced our community locally and interstate in a wide range of different roles. We can cater for your entire helicopter needs. Pay’s can accommodate your charter needs for up to 5 people. This allows you to explore the Upper Hunter and beyond. Take your loved ones for a day trip around the Hunters Famous wineries. We can cater for your needs including weddings, Formals, Anniversaries or tailor it to meet your requirements. We can also connect you with Pay’s Fixed Wing charter to fly you anywhere in Australia. Joy flights

There is no better way to take in the fascinating sites of the Upper Hunter then from the air by helicopter. We can provide you with joy flights from one to 5 passengers (Subject to helicopter availability. Joy flights can be as little as 10 minutes or for as long as you want. Why not take a trip of the ranges and enjoy the stunning views of the Liverpool plains or even Glenbawn Dam.
